A small team building a calm, dependable service
northfiles is run by a small, independent team of engineers. We're self-funded, so we answer to our users rather than to investors.
Why we started
We spent years building websites and apps for clients, and every project needed the same thing: somewhere to put files and a reliable way to get them to people. The big platforms could do it, but came with dense pricing pages and more configuration than most small teams ever need.
So we built the tool we wanted ourselves: upload a file, decide who can see it, share a link. A clear API for when you need to automate. Plans you can understand at a glance.

Your files are yours. We don't analyse them, we don't sell data, and you can export everything at any time.
